It’s never easy to job hunt, but it can be so difficult that you don’t actually know where to start. If this is how you are feeling about your own job hunt, you need to take a step back and carefully consider how to approach it. Once you have a strategy in mind, it will all fall into place.
Firstly, make a promise to yourself that you will only ever apply for jobs that you really like the sound of. You might think that you are keeping your options open, but actually, all that happens is you get offered interviews for jobs that you don’t really fancy, then you feel obliged to go, but the interviewer knows that your heart isn’t really in it.
Secondly, speak to recruitment professionals. They should be able to give you all the help and advice you need, and will be able to recommend positions to you. Again, be honest with recruiters (and yourself). Only discuss the opportunities that really excite you.
