The New Year is often associated with new, fresh starts. This is especially true when it comes to jobs; lots of people will save job hunting until the New Year and lots of companies will only post information about new positions after the Christmas season has passed. In this way, it can be a good time to find a new job.
Before the New Year arrives, do some serious job planning
and thinking. Consider what it is that you really want to get out of a new job
and what it would take to tempt you into a new position. It could be to do with
salary, it might be that you want a new challenge, or it could be about company
culture. Whatever the motivation is behind your career move, you will stand a
good chance of finding something rewarding that is a good fit for you if you
start job hunting in January.
